Guinness was an outstanding representation of the breed.
A moderate dog with a lovely balance and a temperament to die for.

Guinness had a lengthy and very successful show career which had been nothing
short of stunning, right from a baby puppy. Guinness achieved his Australian Championship
title within 9 days of turning 12 months old. And, over the following years Guinness’
success continued in the show ring, which him winning in excess of 75 ‘Best of Breeds’.

Guinness had excelled at both NSW & QLD speciality Shows winning numerous “Classes In Show” & “Opposite Classes In Show”.

Below are critiques from world-renowned Labrador breeders…

Mrs Sussie Wiles ( Richbourne - UK )

“Classy black of excellent breed type. Alert head & kind expression.
Excels in neckline. Good topline, neat feet. Moved & shown to perfection.”

BEST JUNIOR IN SHOW

The Labrador Retriever Club of NSW Championship Show – Sunday May 9, 2004

Mrs Marion Hopkinson ( Rocheby - UK )

“Very nice in profile - flows through from head to tail. Good typical head, nice set on neck, ample bone & good tight feet, second thigh well developed & used his rear to cover the ground easily.”

BEST JUNIOR IN SHOW

The Labrador Retriever Club of QLD Championship Show – Sunday July 11, 2004

Mrs Margaret Brown ( Ramsyville - UK )

“Liked this black for type & construction, nothing overdone here, beautiful head & expression, well put together, excellent overall balance. A quality dog!”

2nd place - Australian Bred Dog

The Labrador Retriever Club of NSW Championship Show – Sunday May 14, 2006

Mrs Margaret Litherland ( Oakhouse - UK )

“Free moving black, well muscled quarters in typical double coat, neat feet, good bone. When he stands naturally he has a well angulated front but tends to draw up too much, never the less he won a class of excellent champions.”

Mrs Elise Nolan ( Veyatie - UK )

From the Veteran Dog Class ( 7 – 9 years ) – May 2012
“Alone, but good all over. A smashing dog for his age, with kind expression and a good mover.”
Guinness was a successful group, runner up in group and class in group winner.
Importantly, he was very successful at speciality shows both here and in QLD.
He had been recognised by many leading labrador breeders and had won many class in show
awards at speciality shows. We are proud that Guinness achieved all this success whilst being
shown by relative novices in the breed.
uinness had been a great stud dog and had sired in excess of 300+ puppies during his time.
His type, lovely temperament and soundness had always been passed on to his progeny.
Guinness had sired 10 conformation champions, including what is believed to be the
first recognised chocolate female Grand Champion. He is also the sire of trial and tracking
champions, and obedience champions. He also has progeny that work as Guide Dogs,
Assistance Dogs and Drug Detection Dogs.

Thank you to Glenice and Mike McClure from Blackboy Kennels for entrusting
us with this amazing dog and offering us a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Guinness we love you and miss you dearly... RIP old boy xx
